We offer hope, healing and a fresh start to our clients. We help women and kids in Fort Worth & DFW area. Will you help us change lives? We have helped women and children for many years. Our goal is that no family we know has to return to a violent home. When women leave a violent home, they don't know how they will survive. They've been told they can't make it on their own. We show them how they can.
We started our first nonprofit Battered Women's Center in 1995. Then in 2011 we started I Can Still Shine Program. Here's a brief overview of last year's success and accomplishments:
We helped 900 women and kids in the last year with many services. Since COVID we have increase our food bank from 100 people a month to over 300 people per month.
We helped over 400 kids with gifts last year at Christmas.
We gave away thousands of items of food, clothing, shoes, household items. gas cards, Christmas gifts, and furniture to our clients.
We had over 80- 100 moms and children attend out monthly I Can Still Shine Events before COVID. At these events, we gave them haircuts, manicures, makeovers, lunch and spiritual speakers and much more. We resumed these events in June.
Twenty kids received new school clothes
140 Backpacks and shoes for our kids in August
Counseling is offered to all our clients for free.
Target provided free glasses to some our moms and kids. We pay for eye exams with a local eye doctor.
We fed over 250 women and kids with all the trimmings at our Thanksgiving meal.
We provide college scholarships for mothers or teenagers to go to college. Our goal is to one-day send 30 clients to college each semester.
If you know anyone we can help please call our offices. 817-616-3500 or email us at icanstillshine7@gmail.com.

When women leave a violent home, they don't know how they will survive. They have been told they can't make it on their own. We show them they can! With your help we will help many more families start over. Thank you for helping us change lives and give moms and kids hope again for a fresh start.
