When they arrive, they often need much more than a warm bed. Many require extensive medical treatment, dental care, heartworm treatment, medications, rehabilitation, or months of recovery before they can begin searching for a new family.

The mission of Golden Retriever Rescue of North Texas is to rescue, care for, and place in permanent loving homes Golden Retrievers in need in the North Texas area and to educate the general public about responsible pet ownership as well as the special qualities of the Golden Retriever breed.
In addition to our ongoing rescue efforts, our unique hospice/permanent foster program provides lifetime medical care to terminally ill, aged, or otherwise unadoptable Goldens that otherwise might be euthanized, allowing them to live out the rest of their lives in a loving foster home with all medical bills paid by GRRNT. Consistent funding for this program is critical as we have to be certain we have enough financial resources to take care of each dog, not just this year, but for the rest of their life. About 15% of our overall budget is committed to this unique hospice/permanent foster program.
