Our Needs

Our agency is seeking strategic partners to support the procurement of our Mobile Science Lab, which is an integral part of our community partnership with Seeds 2 STEM. The primary focus of our current needs is to find partners who can provide assistance in the following areas:

  1. Volunteering during School Day Field Trips: We require partners who can dedicate their time and expertise to support our In-School Field Trips for the Mobile Science Lab. These volunteers will engage with students during the trips and contribute to their learning experience.
  2. DIY Kit and Resource Development: We are looking for partners who can collaborate with us in developing Do-It-Yourself (DIY) kits and other educational resources that can be utilized within our Mobile Science Lab. These kits and resources will enhance the hands-on learning opportunities for students.

By engaging in these partnerships, we aim to create an enriching and impactful educational experience for the students in our community. If you have any questions or would like additional information about our agency's needs, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Giving Activity

Mission

At Educate to Innovate, our mission is to deliver comprehensive STEM education services and support to both In and Out of School time programs in collaboration with Seeds 2 STEM. Our primary focus is on empowering families with low to moderate-income in the North Texas region through accessible and engaging STEM learning opportunities. By providing these educational resources, we aim to inspire a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and foster innovation among our communities.

Needs

At Educate to Innovate, we recognize the persistent lack of diversity in STEM professions, particularly in the United States. Research, such as the Pew Study, has shed light on the root causes of this issue, which include limited access to consistent, high-quality STEM education opportunities and a lack of encouragement for minority students to pursue STEM fields.

To address this challenge, we have developed a Mobile STEM Lab that delivers hands-on STEM programming directly to students of color, eliminating the access barrier to high-quality STEM education. Our belief is that by nurturing students through culturally relevant, hands-on STEM learning experiences, we can inspire them to excel in STEM subjects and motivate them to pursue STEM careers.

As part of our current agency needs, we are seeking strategic partners to support us in procuring the Mobile Science Lab for our community partnership with Seeds 2 STEM. We invite partners to volunteer during school hours for our In-School Field trips, where they will engage with students and contribute to their learning experiences. Additionally, we are looking for partners to collaborate with us in building DIY Kits and developing other resources that can be utilized in our Mobile Science Lab.

We welcome any inquiries or requests for further information regarding our agency's needs. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. Together, we can make a lasting impact on promoting diversity in STEM and providing equitable access to quality education for all students.

Equity Statement

At Educate to Innovate, we are deeply committed to fostering equity in STEM education and ensuring equal access to learning opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances. We recognize that systemic inequities exist in educational systems, particularly for communities facing socioeconomic challenges.

Our organization is dedicated to actively dismantling barriers and creating an inclusive environment where every individual can thrive and excel in STEM fields. We strive to:

Promote Diversity and Inclusion: We celebrate and embrace the diversity of our learners, educators, and community partners. We actively seek to create an inclusive environment that respects and values the unique perspectives, experiences, and identities of all individuals.

Remove Financial Barriers: We acknowledge that economic disparities can limit access to quality STEM education. We are committed to providing affordable or free programs, scholarships, and resources, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder anyone's participation.

Target Underserved Communities: We prioritize reaching and serving communities with limited access to STEM education, including those with low to moderate-income households, rural areas, marginalized groups, and underrepresented populations. We strive to address the unique challenges these communities face, tailoring our programs to their specific needs.

Collaborate with Community Partners: We actively engage with community organizations, schools, and stakeholders to leverage their expertise and insights. By working collaboratively, we aim to develop culturally responsive programs that resonate with the local community and address their specific needs and aspirations.

Foster STEM Equity Advocacy: We actively advocate for policies and initiatives that promote equitable access to STEM education. We engage in dialogue, partnerships, and advocacy efforts with policymakers, educators, and stakeholders to bring about systemic changes that ensure equal opportunities for all.

Through our unwavering commitment to equity, we strive to empower individuals from all backgrounds to unlock their full potential, pursue their passions, and become active contributors to a diverse and inclusive STEM community.
