My name is Pat Ford, and I believe my purpose in life is to serve God by serving people. I want to work in God’s vineyard by helping families and children in the community where we live, worship, and work. I know how hard life can be when you do not have the training, support, or job skills needed to move forward. I have faced some of those same struggles in my own life. But by God’s grace and mercy, I was able to overcome them, and now I want to help others do the same.

One way I believe I can serve is by providing trade education and employment skills training. These programs can help people learn useful hands-on skills, prepare for steady work, and build confidence for the future. When people are given the right tools, they can take better care of themselves, their families, and their community.

Our motto is, “Our Greatest Asset Are Our Children.” We believe children are a blessing, and when we invest in them, we invest in a stronger tomorrow. Our Needs

Why Are You Here? Life Skills for Success is a program that helps teenagers in our low-income community learn important life and job skills. Many of our youth live in an area of Dallas, Texas, where crime is high and positive opportunities can be limited. Our goal is to give them support, guidance, and tools to help them make better choices and build a brighter future.

Through hands-on learning, students will practice communication, teamwork, decision making, problem solving, and building confidence. These skills can help them at school, at home, on the job, and in the community.

Students will also receive job training and help getting ready for work. They will practice job interviews, learn how to fill out applications, and understand how to dress and present themselves in a professional way.

We believe every young person deserves a chance to succeed. With the right help and encouragement, our teens can see their value, set goals, and become active, productive citizens.
