Cynthia Mickens Ministries, Inc. (CMM) was founded in 2002 to "provide the tools and resources to help individuals live the life they were created to live."

Accomplishments to Date:

Since its founding in 2002, CMM has delivered measurable, mission-aligned results:

  • Property & Campus Assets: Acquired nearly five acres in the City of Hutchins, including a multi-purpose facility, two 2-bedroom homes, and a church.

  • Board Leadership: Built a diverse, engaged 10-member Board of Directors spanning multiple ethnic backgrounds and areas of expertise.

  • Community Partnerships: Cultivated strong relationships with civic leaders, business owners, and residents who actively champion CMM’s vision.

  • Volunteer Engine: Mobilized a robust volunteer corps that powers programs and events across the campus.

  • PathWay to Purpose® Impact: Designed and copyrighted the PathWay to Purpose® Course—now with 550+ graduates; 38% have launched businesses and 18% are operating them as ongoing ventures.

  • Youth Development: Created Path~Way to Purpose® for Youth and a free Summer STEAM & Feeding Camp serving children ages 6–14.

  • Strategic Collaborations: Partnered with Let the Beat Build, STEM Excellence, Young STEM Professionals, Black to the Lab, Frost Bank, and ChristArts Ministries for youth programming; and with North Texas Food Bank, Convoy of Hope, CrossRoads Community Outreach, and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension for food security and hands-on gardening education.

  • Housing Initiative: Secured pro bono architectural renderings and cost estimates for a phased 100-unit townhome development; prepared two 2-bedroom homes for shared housing for single mothers with children.

  • Organizational Capacity: Implemented an organization and staffing plan and engaged a nonprofit consulting firm to align operations with best practices and build a durable programmatic, operational, and financial infrastructure.

Our Needs:

To expand our capacity to serve, Cynthia Mickens Ministries, Inc. is advancing The PATH in Hutchins—a master plan featuring 32 housing units and a three-level multipurpose building that will provide wrap-around services and retail/incubator space for startups and small businesses. We are seeking $150,000 to underwrite master-plan and pre-development costs and to sustain and enhance our existing programs. Your investment will grow our residential housing program and increase the number of women, youths, families, and seniors we can support.

Together, these programs strengthen families, stabilize households, and build healthier, more resilient communities.
