Our scholarships are designed to provide opportunities for students to start their post high school educational journey. Knowledge is power and additional education increases earnings potential and fosters academic and personal growth. In C.L.A.S.S., we strive to develop the whole student and motivate them to continue their education through traditional college or technical school. Students enrolled in this program continue to be mentored throughout their college careers and beyond. Many C.L.A.S.S. Alumni return and volunteer and share their experiences with new high school graduates. C.L.A.S.S. gives students the tools and encouragement needed to maintain their academic and financial goals. Each student is required to attend leadership development training that includes reviewing college applications, college tours, exploring other scholarship opportunities, and personal development. While we know the traditional college format is not for everyone, we believe some type of additional training after high school should be pursued by everyone. We encourage our students to add to their skill set by also considering trade schools and certificate programs that also allow them to pursue their interests while enhancing their earnings potential.
Our Needs
There's no shortage of students needing scholarships. Most of our students are first generation college attendees and are often from homes where household income is at, or below the poverty level. We would like to increase our scholarship amounts, increase the number of scholarships we give, and make the scholarships renewable as long as required GPA levels are maintained. Currently we give a $500 scholarship and a maximum of 12 scholarships per year. With your support we can increase our capacity and continue to make a huge impact on young people in our community. Funds donated are used 100% for funding scholarships. Please help us to invest in our children and the future of our community and our world.
