A remarkable place. For remarkable people. For 79 years.

Today, your gift does something rare: it removes a barrier that's been standing for decades.

Camp Summit has spent 79 years proving that disability doesn't disqualify anyone from joy, adventure, or independence. Twenty weeklong sessions a year. A beach-entry pool. Adapted archery, fishing, music, art, sports — every activity built around what a camper can do, not what they can't.

For most families, camp is a given. For a family raising a child or caring for an adult with a disability, it's often out of reach — priced out by medical costs, staffing needs, and equipment most camps simply don't have. Camp Summit exists to close that gap. North Texas Giving Day is how we do it at scale.

What your gift on NTGD actually does:

  • Sends a camper to camp. 90% of our campers receive camperships or financial aid — no one is turned away for inability to pay.
  • Gives a family their first full week off in years. Every session is 110 hours of respite for parents and caregivers who rarely get a break.
  • Keeps our 2:1 camper-to-counselor ratio intact. That ratio — plus 24/7 on-site medical care — is what lets us say yes to campers other camps turn away, including those with the most complex medical needs.
  • Grows our reach. 1,300+ individuals served every year, and climbing, because NTGD dollars fund the staff and infrastructure behind that growth.
  • Puts ability first, publicly. Every NTGD donor and volunteer becomes part of a network that reframes disability — not as a limitation, but as one part of a full life.

Your dollar goes further today. The Soroptimist Dallas Fund of The Dallas Foundation is matching gifts up to $25,000 — meaning your gift on North Texas Giving Day has double the impact it would any other day of the year.

Give today. Give a family a week of respite. Give a camper the time of their life.
