Now imagine you're an elderly person. You're living on social security and recently began receiving treatment for a cancer diagnosis. One day, your vehicle overheats and coolant is leaking from somewhere. You don't have enough money to have your vehicle diagnosed, let alone repaired.
These aren't imaginary scenarios but real individuals who had: no money, no transportation, and no hope.
Until they came to us.
Autocare Haven is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization funded by tax deductible donations from generous individuals and organizations which we use to purchase parts and pay experienced mechanics to conduct FREE VEHICLE REPAIRS for veterans, senior citizens, single parents, and low income households in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.
A person needing help visits our website to fill out a short application. It is assigned to someone on our volunteer-team who follows up with the applicant to get more info. The team member comes back with this info to make an initial determination if we can assist. If so, we put an approved mobile mechanic in contact with the applicant to setup a day/time to visit them to conduct a diagnosis. When completed, we determine if we can conduct the repair. If so, repair is made FREE OF CHARGE TO THE APPLICANT.
Our LOW COST MODEL and strategic partnerships ensure donations used EFFICIENTLY to help maximize the number of people we can help. With a SPECIAL Autozone commercial wholesale account, we buy QUALITY parts with a 50% average discount compared to retail and up to 5% of purchases reimbursed to us after each Quarter. In addition, we work with EXPERIENCED mobile mechanics meaning no overhead built in to their prices saving us about 50% compared to auto shops and significantly more compared to dealerships. As registered 501c3, we don't pay sales taxes.

Autocare Haven is a 501(c)(3) whose goal is to ease the financial burden of North Texans by providing vehicle repairs so they can get back on the road and on with their lives.
Financial - Donations of any size can help ensure we are able to pay for as many vehicle repairs for veterans, senior citizens, single parents, and low income households in the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.
Vehicle Donation - We recently created a vehicle donation program for anyone interested in donating their vehicle to us which we can 1) sell and use the proceeds to fund repairs 2) keep and donate to a needy individual or family.
In-Kind Services - Anyone with a specialty (marketing, accounting, legal, etc.) can donate their services to us ensuring our team focuses on vehicle repairs.
Product Donations - If you have anything automotive related (tools, tires, etc.) you would like to donate to us we will accept to help us in our mission.
