Arlington Charities is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization helping provide individuals and families with access to healthy, nutritious foods during critical times of need. Fighting hunger since 1978, Arlington Charities is one of the oldest social service organizations in the city and the largest provider of supplemental food for people experiencing food insecurity.

Providing access to nutritious supplemental groceries to our community in need is the heart of our mission. In 2025, Arlington Charities distributed 2,882,161 pounds of food through a variety of programs designed to meet the diverse needs of the community.  Those programs include daily drive-up grocery assistance, home delivery, after hours grocery pick-up via climate-controlled smart lockers, lunch service for unhoused neighbors, fresh produce delivery to food deserts by the Market Truck, and more.

Mission

Our mission is to lead and engage our community in the fight against hunger and poverty: providing help; creating hope.

Needs

Our programs are made possible through generous donations from the community, including events like North Texas Giving Day. Donations received through this special day of giving are critical to our mission and make it possible to purchase not only food, but also fund expenses that are critical to daily operations like fuel, truck maintenance, safe food storage, and more.

Equity Statement

Arlington Charities is an equal opportunity organization. No person shall, on the grounds of race, color, national origin, age, sex, disability, political beliefs or religion, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination.
