~Heartworm Prevention. Your donation will cover the cost of 6 months of heartworm prevention for an animal in our care. 1 in every 3 dogs that we take into our rescue is heartworm positive. This is a completely preventable disease so monthly prevention is critical!

~ Vaccines. Your donation will cover the cost of vaccines for an animal in our care. Vaccines are ciritical to ensure that our animals stay healthy & disease free.

~Spay/Neuter. Your donation will cover the cost of 1 spay/neuter for an animal in our care. We ensure that every animal is spay/neutered before adoption is complete with us. This not only helps control the pet over population problem but also ensures no future health concerns.

~Fully Vetted Animal. Your donation will cover the costs of fully vetting 1 animal in our care. This vetting will include: spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm & fecal test.

~Heartworm Treatment. Your donation will cover the cost of full heartworm treatment for an animal in our care. This treaetment includes antibiotics, steroids, pain meds, 3 injections & follow up heartworm test. We always opt for the "fast kill" method to ensure that our animals endure minimal internal organ damage.

Almost Home Animal Rescue is dedicated to saving the unwanted, abandoned & abused animals in North Texas. We rehabilitate & provide all medical care for every animal within our organization. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every animal is placed into a loving, forever home. Your continued support on North Texas Giving Day will help us save many more animals in need.
Mission
Almost Home Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)3, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue of unwanted, abused & neglected animals. Based in the Ft Worth TX area but also helping surrounding communities.
Our focus is saving street dogs (strays) from a life of loneliness & despair. If space allows we do take in owner surrenders & shelter dogs. We also focus on educating the public on the importance of spay/neuter & proper animal care.
When funds are available we assist families so they are able to keep their beloved pets rather than giving them up.
We provide full medical care to all animals before they are available for adoption. Vetting includes: vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, fecal test & heartworm test. All animals are kept current on flea & heartworm prevention while in foster care.
Needs
As a small rescue we are always in need of fundraising & monetary donations. We are often in & out of the vet with basic & extended care so our vet bills multiple quickly.
Foster homes are a great need! The more foster homes we have the more animals that we can save. We will never turn away an animal in need if space is available.
