Dignity on Wheels: Meeting hygiene needs wherever students go

It's September and that means North Texas Giving Day is right around the corner! The Achievement Center of Texas is excited to once again participate in this 18 hour event to raise funds for a mobile hygiene unit that will assist in providing students with disabilities a safe, private space to take care of their hygiene needs.

For many, access to appropriate spaces for personal care- such as diaper changes- is a daily challenge that affects health, confidence, and participation. With your support, this mobile changing unit will bring dignity, comfort, and care wherever students are, ensuring no barrier stands in the way of fun and inclusion.

Early giving is happening now so you can start making your gifts early to help us reach our goal of $50,000. Every donation counts!

Mission

The ACT is a licensed non-profit day habilitation center for adolescents and adults with special needs. We make every effort to offer families services that support those students wherever possible. In providing a wide range of services in the least restrictive environment, students at the Achievement Center can grow and develop physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. At our center, they work toward greater independence and a more satisfying way of life.
