Zoie's Place

A nonprofit organization

Zoie's Place aims not only to provide services for young adults aging out of foster care, but to change the trajectory of their lives. Zoie's Place bridges the gap between foster care and adulthood by connecting young adults to a community of support and equipping them with the skills they need to live independently.

- 20,000 young adults age out of foster care each year
- Roughly 1,300 will age out in the state of Texas
- 70% of girls will be pregnant by their 21st birthday
- 50% are unemployed
- 20% will instantly become homeless upon aging out of foster care
- Only 3% will complete a Bachelor's Degree

Will you help us change these statistics?

Our Needs

The primary need for Zoie's Place this year is funding to expand our services for non-residential care. In addition to our transitional housing services, Zoie's Place provides life skills, tutoring, mentors, and other support to young adults aging out of foster care. One of these services includes our new Pathways program, bringing in community members from a variety of different career fields to educate and encourage our youth towards the career field of their choice by presenting what it looks like to be in that field and laying out practical ways to get there. Your gift will help support our efforts to make an impact in the lives of all young adults in our community who have experienced foster care.

Mission

The mission of Zoie's Place is to better the lives of youth and young adults who have experienced foster care.
