Each day young girls face challenges in school, at home, and in their own communities in general. To combat this, we strive to offer services that impact their lives for the better. In addition, there are so many problems that girls face when they transition to middle school such as peer pressure, low self-esteem, problems communicating, and lack of problem-solving skills.
Without this program that provides targeted mentoring where girls will have that person to talk to, she might not develop into a better person. If she has no mentor to help her get through this difficult time in her life she will close and not talk, never express herself, and just suffer in silence. We know this because we see it daily when students are bullied at school and the result is doom. We don’t want that for girls and that’s why we address that with mentoring and problem-solving skills.
WEW Young Girls Program is designed to reach and empower young girls to have a better future. We teach girls character development, problem-solving skills, leadership skills, life skills, career development, financial literacy, and relationships. In addition, we provide a great mentoring program specifically targeted at young girls.
This program addresses the needs of the underserved populations of girls. When we do this, we enhance the well-being of the entire community.
We believe that every girl deserves to succeed, no matter where she lives. There is such a need for this type of program today. Act Now! We need you to make a greater difference in our communities.
Please help us provide the necessary resources so that girls can develop because they have the tools to survive in this uncertain world.
In order to fulfill our mission, we need resources for activities, workshops, field trips, and journals. Your support will help us serve the needs of girls. This organization needs these funds to secure and provide the following:
