At White Rock Center of Hope, neighbors help neighbors. From groceries and clothing to utility assistance and hygiene essentials, we offer hope with love to families in East Dallas. Our mission is to cultivate hope by reducing food insecurity, preventing evictions, and clothing those in need.  Once their most basic needs are met, people are more inclined to be empowered; they can see beyond the immediate moment of crisis.

Powered by volunteers, Hope is more than a place to find help—it’s a place where lives are strengthened, dignity is restored, and hope shines brighter in our shared community.

Our Needs

There are three simple ways you can make a difference, Shop - Donate - Volunteer

Shop - Every purchase at Hope Thrift Store supports Hope's programs. Shop, knowing your dollars provide food, clothing, and financial assistance to neighbors in need.

Donate - Every gift makes an impact—whether it’s a financial contribution that keeps families in their homes or food, clothing, and household items that fill the Food Pantry, Clothing Closet, and Thrift Store.

  • Food – Canned protein, shelf-stable foods, and fresh produce help neighbors facing food insecurity. Hygiene products such as laundry soap, toilet paper, shampoo, diapers, and feminine hygiene products are NOT available for purchase with SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps) benefits and are greatly needed.

  • Clothing & Household Goods – Donated goods in good condition help stock the Clothing Closet or are sold in the Thrift Store, where all proceeds go back into programs.

  • Financial Support – Your financial contributions help fund emergency financial assistance so families avoid eviction or utility disconnection during times of crisis. It also allows Hope to purchase items that are often not donated, like new socks, underwear, with additional cash raised through this Giving Day —while supporting the ongoing operations that keep our programs running smoothly.

Volunteer - Volunteers provide the energy and action to serve the community. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday to Friday, 8am-1pm in Neighbors Services, and Monday to Saturday, 9am-5pm in the Thrift Store. From sorting donations and stocking shelves to greeting neighbors in our food pantry, volunteers are the heart of Hope's mission.
