Walls Down Productions, Inc. is a federally recognized 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers creative/cultural arts and sports programs designed specifically for children of socioeconomically disadvantaged urban and rural communities.

Giving Activity

Mission

Walls Down Productions advocates for and offers a variety of performing/fine arts exploratory opportunities, along with diverse sports-driven programs designed specifically for children of socioeconomically disadvantaged urban and rural communities. We develop, implement and fund free workshops and community events that educate and inform our participants on how, when the arts and sports are intertwined, their lives can be impacted on a greater level. The path that we take with our SpArts participants will lead them down a path to becoming a "diversified" HUMAN!

Equity Statement

During our program conceptual discussions, we discovered a great divide between the athletic and artistic

youth programming worlds; whether they are being addressed through programs facilitated by the

traditional education system or through community based after-school/summer program activities. So many

of our young people have been negatively impacted (socially and culturally) by misconceptions and “societal

norms” that suggest that the participation in and the appreciation for the arts or sports is relegated to what

gender you identify as or what culture you belong to. All children can benefit from the most common

attributes of participating in the arts and sports—teamwork, leadership, complex decision making skills and

increased self-awareness.
