In one form or another, cancer impacts the lives of a significant number of our population locally, nationally, and internationally. For that reason, in our formation as a 501(c)3 organization and in determining our mission, Wheels for Wellness deliberately focused on three different, yet related, areas of cancer care - Screening, Care, and Cure. Every year we name 3 entities as our Screen, Care, and Cure beneficiaries to receive support from our foundation. Each beneficiary works in their respective categories and range from providing resources to patients to performing research for a cure. We also provide free PSA prostate cancer screenings at our large events throughout the year.
First and foremost, sponsorship and donations are the most direct way to help Wheels for Wellness and the organizations it supports throughout the year.
Wheels for Wellness is a volunteer-driven 501(c)3 foundation composed of men and women who have a passion for cars and healthy lifestyles. At the core of its mission is a desire to promote awareness of wellness to the general public, specifically around the issue of Prostate Cancer. Funds raised through registrations, donations, and partnerships provide resources and services to nonprofits who: provide free PSA screenings available, provide care services and resources post cancer diagnosis, and work on research toward a cure.
WFW is dedicated to the screening, care, and cure of prostate cancer. We provide free Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) tests to men over 40 at our schedule events. Our fundraising allows us to provide the PSA tests at no cost and the more funds raised the more tests can be administered. We have testimony from Prostate cancer survivors that if it were not for WFW and the PSA tests they would not be alive today.
