The VWEC is not merely a center for entrepreneur women associated with the military; we aspires to become a national epicenter for business success. VWEC's Dallas headquarters at Comerica BusinessHQ stands as a modern, upscale haven for military-affiliated women entrepreneurs to plant their aspirations into fertile ground and flourish.
VWEC’s 4BusinessRecovery Campaigns coming out of COVID reinvested more than 50% of our annual funding directly into entrepreneur women associated with the military primarily in North Texas, but also nationwide. Our signature programs empower our clients; in the growth and maturity stages of their businesses, to elevate their systems and strategies to the next level.
At VWEC, we prioritize rigorous impact assessment. We regularly evaluate participant outcomes, including technical support toward revenue and workforce growth, successful business strategy implementation, and facilitating access to financial assistance. We maintain an adaptive approach, consistently reviewing and tailoring our programs based on participant and partner feedback to meet our evolving client needs.
VWEC is a thriving oasis for military-affiliated women entrepreneurs to nurture their ambitions to thrive!
The following reflect our funding priorities:
1) We need your support to continue to fund our signature programs, which redirect more than 50% of our annual funding directly into our business owners’ hands to transform their business, so they can continue to grow and expand their offerings.
2) Now six years old, VWEC needs your support to move beyond the statistical standing of most Black-led nonprofits receiving less than enough funding to adequately staff our facility; Nonprofit staffing is critical to creating impactful sustainable and scalable programming.
3) Rebuilding is still a priority for many of our business owners, and we need your support to continue our 4BusinessRecovery strategies offering grants, pitch prizes, and micro loans coupled with critical technical assistance and onsite support.
4) VWEC is lean and mean, but we cannot do what we do alone, we need your support to maintain our capacity to contract essential part-time accounting, technology, marketing, financial and fundraising consultants.
To empower Entrepreneur Women Associated with the Military (EWAM) inclusive of veterans, active duty, reservists, and military spouses to scale successfully, we establish strategic alliances, leverage public/private-sector opportunities, advocate for relevant research, services and funding, while simultaneously provide on-site the personal and professional resources they need to succeed.

At the Veteran Women’s Enterprise Center (VWEC), we uphold a resolute commitment to the fundamental principle of equity, which ensures that every individual, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, geographic location, health and ability status, or any other characteristic, is unequivocally accorded equal and unassailable dignity, worth, and the opportunity to engage fully, fairly, and justly in every facet of civic and economic existence. Our unwavering dedication is to enable every person to thrive, to prosper, and to achieve their utmost potential.
VWEC’s leadership recognizes that in our society, when we think of a “Veteran,” we don’t often think of Women and even less often Women of Color. We are committed to our core values, and to creating an environment that is diverse, equitable and inclusive reflective of the true essence of our entrepreneur women associated with the military.
As visionaries, we believe in driving innovations, the strength of progressive collective planning, and the ability to imagine the future, and shape it into our own reality. Dedicated to women helping women, VWEC proactively proclaims and acts upon the fact that collectively, women have the power, and the resources to create any change we desire. At VWEC, we believe in openly sharing our expertise and experiences in an engaging environment that empowers and promotes excellence in all our endeavors. Finally, we are committed to staying the course, regardless of the challenges, providing advocacy, developing partnerships, and offering services, to ensure every entrepreneur woman associated with the military have the tools, and resources necessary to truly be self-sufficient contributors to their families, communities, and our nation.
At VWEC, we are dedicated to the continuous, and thorough examination of our business initiatives, with an unwavering commitment to effecting positive change. At every conceivable juncture, we aspire to contribute to the restoration, healing, and revitalization of communities, fostering environments where diversity not only exists but flourishes, where inclusion and a sense of belonging are the prevailing ethos, and where equity, in all its multifaceted manifestations, becomes the ultimate achievement.
VWEC’s dedication to this cause commences from within our very own organization. We wholeheartedly embrace challenging dialogues and make an unwavering pledge to ongoing self-improvement. We work diligently to create a diverse, equitable and inclusive board of directors that genuinely reflects the populations and communities we serve. By rigorously scrutinizing our core values, implicit biases, policies, and practices that influence both our internal dynamics and external interactions, we aim to forge an institutional identity that acts as a catalyst, not a barrier, to the advancement of the clients and communities we serve.
VWEC is passionately committed to equity and welcomes all to join us on this journey, to hold us accountable, to aid in its advancement, and persist until we attain it.
