Who We Are:
The mission of The Usual Artspects is to provide healing and empowerment through art for female survivors of physical violence and sexual abuse to improve the quality of their life mentally, emotionally, and physically. Through a safe supportive environment, we provide advocacy, awareness, community, education, and resources for survivors through various art and social events, along with artistic therapeutic healing programs and workshops.
Our programs create a safe space for therapeutic release and overlooked artistic voices from trauma survivors. Expressive Art Programs and Art Therapy have been proven to reduce symptoms of Anxiety, Depression, C-PTSD, and PTSD in survivors of sexual abuse and violence. Our target populations include underserved women and children in the Grapevine community and surrounding Dallas Fort Worth areas
