Turtle Creek isn't beautiful by accident. 

Every day, thousands of people walk its trails, admire its historic bridges, enjoy the shade of towering trees, and find peace in one of Dallas' most beloved public parks. It is a place where nature, history, and community come together; where neighbors gather, families explore, runners train, visitors discover the city, and wildlife flourishes. 

What most people don't see is everything it takes to keep it that way.

They don't see the more than 10 tons of trash and debris removed from the creek annually. They don't notice invasive vegetation being cleared to restore wildlife habitat (we have beavers!), safety concerns being addressed, the care provided to more than 2,600 trees, or the ongoing maintenance required to preserve this treasured public space.  They enjoy a park that feels clean, safe, and welcoming.

And we do it without a single dollar of taxpayer funding.

 For over 40 years, the Turtle Creek Association (TCA) has been the steward of this remarkable space. Today, our responsibility extends across the 90-acre Turtle Creek Corridor, protecting not only a beloved Dallas parkway, but also an important urban waterway and wildlife habitat.

Like every great park, Turtle Creek requires year-round care. Every restored bridge must be maintained. Every landscape must be cared for.  Every storm brings new trash and debris into the creek. And every improvement we make creates a responsibility to protect that investment in the future.

• Funds a half day of invasive species removal
• Provides for an oversized hanging basket along the street to showcase seasonal color

• Supports major repairs to fencing, lighting, or walking path infrastructure

• Helps maintain an entire section of the Turtle Creek Corridor for a month
• Adopt a Tree - Supports annual care for a mature tree, including pruning, feeding, and health monitoring
• Contributes to long‑term preservation of one of Turtle Creek’s historic bridges
• Provides flowers and shrubs for a median for one year

• Provides for one month of Turtle Creek cleaning by “Patrick, the Man in the Boat.” Navigating the waters by boat, Patrick manually collects litter, plastics, and urban runoff debris.
