About The Turtle Creek Association (TCA)
TCA is a non-profit association created in 1985 dedicated to preserving the aesthetic beauty of the Turtle Creek corridor, Dallas' unofficial front yard. In 1911, Landscape Architect George Kessler envisioned the Turtle Creek Corridor as a "Premiere Urban Green Space and Residential Neighborhood." TCA wants to build on this vision and will focus on three main areas of opportunity:
1. Health of Turtle Creek - bank stabilization, enhancing the creek's flow (dredging), and solving the recurring trash issue.
2. Reversing Urban Decay - eliminating graffiti, restoring the five historic bridges, and improving safety. The addition of lighting under the bridge at Lemmon Ave and to other areas along the corridor is a critical component of our safety plan, as is working with city agencies to address homeless encampments and hiring off-duty police to patrol the area.
3. Installation of Art throughout the corridor - creating an equitable and connected community filled with public art will develop a sense of unity and shared pride while empowering the corridor to become a cultural art destination in Dallas.

Mission
TCA's mission is to be the primary guardian, advocate, and champion that leads in the preservation, enhancement, and protection of the Turtle Creek Corridor. This precious greenspace is a valuable asset for all Dallas residents.
TCA works to provide the seasonal floral displays, landscaping and maintenance of the 25 street medians throughout the Turtle Creek corridor. Additionally, the association is working to address ecological issues from drainage and soil erosion to native species planting that ensure the health of the waterway and park lands for the future generations.
