What are our Giving Day goals? We seek to raise $90,000 during this 2026 Giving Day season from August 27 to September 17! Very generous Stronghold Ministry donors will double all donations up to $90,000 with a goal to raise $180,000. 

What makes us tick? According to the American Cancer Society, there will be over 2.1 million NEW cancer cases in 2026 just in the US alone! This is up almost 100,000 every year since 2020! Thus, a growing multitude of cancer patients, caretakers, and their loved ones are asking the deepest questions: "Where is God in my pain? How do I overcome anxiety? Does God heal? How do I get to heaven if I die?"  Many are so ripe for God’s answers!

During our Executive Director's Stage IV cancer battle, Joe Fornear and his wife Terri felt so powerless. They learned, and are still learning, that He is our Stronghold and as we abide in Him, we experience His peace and strength. With your help we "visit" the sick with this same message. Jesus said in Matthew 26:36, "I was sick and you visited ME.”

How do we help people fighting cancer?

We have sent over 33,670 of our free gift baskets to all 50 states and 44 countries! We hope to keep growing in our annual distribution, which this year is 2750-3000 gift baskets. Thus, we invite your deeper prayer and partnership so we can continue to grow in:

• Sending out more free spiritual gift baskets - every recipient counts!
• Sharing the Good News of Jesus with those who "walk in the valley of the shadow of death" (Psalm 23). Almost daily, patients tell us doctors have slapped an expiration date on their lives, so timing matters!
• Providing God's Word through blogs, podcasts and videos, our Facebook prayer group, emails, phone calls, cancer support groups, and Abiding Life Coaching. One patient wrote, "This is EXACTLY what I needed," after our recent "In His Grip" devotional email, "When you don't understand God's mind, trust His heart." Joe's video here.
• Providing opportunity for cancer patients to leverage their fight as Ambassadors, helping us distribute thousands of gift baskets to other cancer patients. One patient Ambassador who is ON HOSPICE made this amazing request:

"Please send five gift baskets to me to share with others. Currently I am getting hospice care at home. Your ministry has blessed me on my journey."
