Rudy's Rescue

Rudy's Rescue was founded in 2019 and based in Weatherford, Texas. Rudy's is an all-breed, all-age, dog rescue. Our focus is to keep a very small group of foster dogs so the best care possible can be given to each dog taken in.   We rescue dogs from small rural shelters in TX that don't have resources for the animals they take in, owner surrenders, abandoned and neglected puppies living on their own after being dumped, and senior dogs who are left at the shelter to be euthanized. Rudy's also takes care of special needs when other medical care is necessary for rescue dogs like heartworm treatment or life-threatening conditions. Our most recent focus has been on providing a forever home for senior and medically challenged dogs.

Last year we spent over $33,000.00 on providing medical needs for the dogs in our care. We are well on our way to spending that amount this year. Donated funds cover basic vettings such as vaccines, as well as heartworm treatments, specialized surgeries, monthly medications, and preventatives. All of these can be very costly and at times the expenses are unexpected. Every dollar no matter what amount goes toward the care of our foster dogs.
