Celebrating 65 years of service to the community!

Our Goal: employ additional staff; increase open hours; add more STEM and children’s programs.

With several new developments within our community, an explosion of residents and population has occurred. Not only is the area expanding, but the library has already experienced substantial increase in the use of the library and services. We provide a variety of services, materials and programs for all ages.

To accomplish our goal---continued services for many, many more years including constructing a new building--- depends on the support of donors/supporters like you!

Every great community has a central place to commemorate its heritage, culture and hope for the future. For most, it is the library. It holds the archives of the past, a path to first see the outside world through books and publications. It is a place to spark the dreams in the young.

The Rhome Community Library has sought to be all those things and more!

The Rhome Community Library is an independent 501(c)3 Corporation serving the residents of Rhome, Texas, and all neighboring communities as well as all Northwest ISD students and faculty and their families. A volunteer Board of Directors supervises the daily operations as well as seeks funding through donations and grants.

Rhome Library provides access to books, programs, and services that promote literacy and lifelong learning opportunities for our community.

For the past 65 years, Rhome Community Library operated through community involvement, volunteers, donations, perseverance, and commitment. The Rhome Community Library, the first library in Wise County, was organized in September 1960.  As a source of community pride, the library exists as a labor of love staffed by community volunteers.

All donations are greatly appreciated—large or small—it all adds up! Thank-you!

Please join us for our 65th Celebration on September 20, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
at the Rhome Community Library--- Street Party Reception with Music & Activities.

Giving Activity

Mission

The mission of Rhome Community Library is to provide services, programming, and materials that are available to all residents in order to develop an engaged community and encourage lifelong learners.

Needs

In addition to needing funding for all our programs and events, we have outgrown our current location and desperately need a bigger one. We are not a department of a city. The donations you make toward our programs and building are applied 100% to the Rhome Community Library. Discover what we have planned at rhomelibrary.org > Capital Campaign. Naming options are available.

Your support helps us continue to provide these services and more for free to the entire Rhome Library community.
