The Robotics Education & Competition Foundation is a global non-profit organization dedicated to increasing student engagement in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), and computer science by engaging students in hands-on, curriculum-based robotics programs. Through comprehensive initiatives encompassing competitions, education, and workforce readiness, the foundation empowers educators to inspire and equip students for success. The REC Foundation strives to create a future where every student designs and innovates as part of a team, overcomes failure, perseveres, and emerges confident in their ability to meet global challenges. Through sustainable, affordable and accessible robotics programs, the REC Foundation is inspiring students, one robot at a time.

Mission

The Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation’s global mission is to provide every educator with competition, education, and workforce readiness programs to increase student engagement in science, technology, engineering, math, and computer science.

Needs

We see a future where every student designs and innovates as part of a team, overcomes failure, perseveres, and emerges confident in their ability to meet global challenges. With millions of students from around the world participating in RECF programs, it is essential that students from North Texas have a level playing field. Funds raised on North Texas Giving Day will be used to support students from local North Texas teams as they pursue their STEM dreams. Your gift will have a direct impact on the next generation of STEM professionals.

Equity Statement

At the REC Foundation, diversity is at the core of everything we do. From initial design to competing on the world stage, students must go through a process where they work collaboratively to solve problems, which in turn inspires a better understanding of the differences we encounter in our fellow humans every day. The REC Foundation is committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for students from all backgrounds to learn, grow, and thrive as they explore their potential.
