August is a very busy month for us, we hold a Back to School event for the local families in need with backpacks w/ supplies and school uniforms. Septembers we recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness, and we celebrate our Grandparents Appreciation Day. We honor the recipients with a certificates and a gift card to their favorite restaurant. October we will hold a Zoom Workshop to promote the Purple and Pink campaign to bring awareness to our community Breast Cancer and Domestic Violence. November we recognize National Caregivers Day for all their support and efforts to take care of their families. We present them with a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant. We start December with our Pajama Drive. We partner with the community coordinator for local fostered families and a hold a Pajama Drive for those children. December is one our biggest events. We hold our annual Christmas Prison Fellowship w/ Angeltree Event. We partner up with the local organizations who allows us to use their facilities for these events.
We are also continuing our efforts to assist families affected by Covid-19. We are going fully mobile and virtual. We are going to hold drive-by and zoom events to maintain safety. We make weekly deliveries to our families in need. Donations for the cost incurred from the staff payroll, to the gas incurred from now going mobile who be greatly appreciated.
