Park Forest Library Friends

A nonprofit organization

Since 1995, the Park Forest Library Friends has existed for the support and betterment of the Park Forest Branch Library located at the corner of Forest Lane and Cromwell Drive in Dallas, Texas. Through generous donations and membership dues the Friends continually support library improvements and programs for children, teen, and adult patrons of the Park Forest Branch. The Friends have provided funds for family events, guest speakers, children events, movies for senior patrons, Valentine love for seniors, live pets (including a baby kangaroo), bookmark contest, BookPage newsletter subscription, and many more! We enjoy celebrating the cultures in our community, and we never forget to celebrate Star Wars day, May 4th, and many other special days.

Mission

The purpose of the organization is to promote greater awareness of and assistance to the Park Forest Branch of the Dallas Public Library as a community educational, cultural and activity center which fills unique neighborhood needs. This organization is guided by a philosophy of inclusiveness, equitability, affordability and a spirit of cooperation.
