Northeast Orchestra Inc

A nonprofit organization

Founded in 1989, Northeast Orchestra members are drawn from all walks of life and are united by their love for making music and a desire to give back to the community. Our members are unpaid, and our modest budget for music, equipment, guest artists and operations comes from ticket sales and subscriptions, program advertisements, fundraisers and donations from our generous patrons.

The Orchestra sponsors a Young Artist Competition each season for the purpose of fostering and recognizing high school musical talent in Tarrant County. The first place winner is awarded a cash scholarship and is invited to perform as featured soloist in the spring concert.

Our goal is to present a family-friendly, fun, and inviting atmosphere at our concerts at which all are welcome, while also striving to maintain a high level of musical craftsmanship in all our performances.

Mission

The Northeast Orchestra (NEO) is an all-volunteer community orchestra located in Tarrant County, Texas. Our primary mission is to provide performance opportunities for talented musicians and to enrich the community by performing standard symphonic literature, as well as establishing and maintaining other educational and cultural programs that will further the goals of the orchestra and the community.

Needs

All donations made on North Texas Giving Day will support the general operating needs of the Orchestra. Specifically, they will help in acquiring music and equipment, hiring outstanding guest soloists, funding the annual Young Artist Competition and operating the orchestra on a daily basis.

Equity Statement

It is an organization that was created with the purpose of providing performance opportunities for the orchestra members with diverse backgrounds.
