Since 1989, the DFW chapter of National Organization of Minority Architects has been dedicated to building a stronger, more diverse community within the design professions. We're committed to the mission of DFW NOMA: to empower local students and support future architects.

We're asking for your help to make a difference in a student's life. Our Project Pipeline summer camp introduces students to the world of architecture and design. Led by professional architects, the camp provides a unique opportunity for students to learn new skills and explore their creative potential.

Your contribution directly supports the camp by funding architectural tours, bringing in inspiring speakers, and providing the essential tools and resources needed to run the program. Help us build the next generation of architects and designers by donating to Project Pipeline toda

What is Project Pipeline?

Serving over 20,000 students over the past decade, this nationally recognized NOMA program seeks to empower youth to effect change in their community through design and connect them to architects, designers, and planners. Our mission is to foster the next generation of design professionals, civic leaders, and change-makers, with the focused intent that this camp serves as a pipeline to a more equitable and inclusive profession.

In a field where only 2% of licensed architects are Black and just 0.4% are Black women, representation matters. Hispanic/Latino and Asian architects also remain underrepresented relative to their share of the population, and while women make up nearly half of today’s architecture students, only 27% of licensed architects are women. These statistics underscore the critical importance of early exposure and access, two things Project Pipeline is built to provide.

This summer camp program guides middle school and high school students through all stages of design using thought provoking and fun exercises. Students have the opportunity to engage the design process through drawing, model building, diagramming, research and site visits to create a fully realized project that addresses issues in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
