The Mended Network utilizes a home restoration project model to inspire participation of individuals, families and stakeholders from within the assets of the community. The project model name is the Mended Revitalization Program and it can be a solution for cities willing to change the impact of code compliance to alleviate those added pressures placed on homeowners struggling to preserve their home investment.
Homeowners may face in the present time marginalization due to a sudden loss of employment or worse a loss of a family member and spiral downward as a result with no fault of their own. We see other situations contributing to family hardships such as lack of physical and emotional care, physical strength, and adverse financial health making it impossible to sustain a healthy home environment. However, a healthy community takes action in response to the hurt and/or pain felt by any family seeking to thrive.
