At Living Hope Equine Therapy, we believe a horse can do far more than carry a rider.
A horse can help a child find confidence. Help a Veteran reconnect and find purpose. Give someone with a disability the opportunity to experience independence. Help a child who has experienced trauma begin to trust again. And sometimes, a horse simply creates a place where someone feels safe, capable, and understood.
Living Hope Equine Therapy provides equine-assisted services for children and adults with cognitive, physical, and emotional challenges, Veterans, foster and adopted youth, and families throughout the North Texas community.
Our programs go far beyond traditional therapeutic riding. Participants build horsemanship skills, develop meaningful relationships with their horses and instructors, participate in camps and group programs, and even have opportunities to compete in the show ring. Our Veterans find camaraderie and purpose through our Living Valor program, while children who have experienced trauma can build trust, confidence, communication skills, and emotional regulation through specialized equine-assisted programming.
What began in 2022 with just 8 riders, 2 instructors, and 2 horses has grown into a thriving community serving dozens of families each week with a remarkable team of therapy horses, dedicated staff, and volunteers.
But growth is only meaningful if the people who need these programs can access them.
That is why donor support is so important to Living Hope. Gifts help provide scholarships for families who cannot afford the full cost of services, keep our programs free for Veterans and foster youth, care for the extraordinary horses who make this work possible, and provide the equipment, professional staff, and resources necessary to deliver safe, high-quality equine-assisted services.
At Living Hope, we don't want a diagnosis, disability, difficult circumstance, or ability to pay to define what someone can become.
We want every participant who enters our barn to discover what they can do.
