We are Adult Mentors who will mentor.
We are Teen Mentors who will mentor and be mentored.
We are Lemon Aides (young girls) who will be led by our mentors as we grow through the program.
We are the future of our communities, laying the foundation for our future leaders.
We are women who look at the world, find the lemons and make lemonade. Together, we will help empower and develop our future female leaders by working to make the world a better place. By participating in service projects, the girls will learn to lead as they learn more about their community, themselves, and what they are capable of achieving in the world around them.
We run two programs - a monthly program and a weekly after-school program in at-risk communities.
Our Needs
We are currently in need of funding for administrative staff as well as general programming funds for both the monthly and the weekly after-school program.. In addition, we would like to raise additional funds to allow for more stipends for our after-school Adult Mentors who are teachers in the schools.
Mission
The Lemon Aide Society empowers girls to lead through service, laying the foundation for strong, confident female leadership for all our communities.
Needs
The focus of our campaign this year is to fund administrative positions that will help the organization run effectively and allow for growth. We are growing our Lemon Aide Society in the Schools program to include more schools as well as increasing the amount we stipend the teachers so that it is meaningful and reflects the efforts they put in.
