Jacob Way Organization is an Arlington, Texas-based nonprofit dedicated to walking alongside families navigating one of life's most devastating journeys a childhood cancer diagnosis. Founded in honor of a beloved family member whose battle with pediatric cancer revealed the gaps no family should face alone, we exist to ensure that no parent ever has to choose between their child's treatment and keeping the lights on.

We provide direct, practical support to childhood cancer families across North Texas because healing happens at home too. From the moment a family receives a diagnosis, Jacob Way steps in to ease the weight of financial hardship, emotional exhaustion, and daily survival so they can focus entirely on what matters most: their child.

We are more than a charity. We are a lifeline.

Giving Activity

Mission

We provide emotional, financial, and mental health support to families of children with cancer so no one faces it alone.

Our mission is rooted in compassion and connection. We believe families deserve more than hope they deserve help, care, and community every step of the way.

Needs

A childhood cancer diagnosis doesn't just change a family's life it affects it financially, emotionally, and physically.

75% of families impacted by pediatric cancer experience significant financial hardship within the first year of diagnosis

Parents often reduce work hours or leave jobs entirely to manage treatment schedules, causing household income to drop sharply

Families face soaring out-of-pocket medical costs, travel to treatment centers, and mounting household bills — all while trying to keep food on the table

Mental health needs skyrocket for both the child and their siblings, yet access to affordable counseling remains out of reach for many families

Utility shutoffs and food insecurity are real, documented crises in pediatric cancer households — happening quietly, while the world focuses only on medical care

In North Texas alone, the need is growing. Jacob Way has seen firsthand what happens when a family has nowhere to turn. Our community of families deserves better, and with your support — they will have it.

WHAT YOUR GIFT DOES

Jacob Way's $20,000 Giving Day goal will directly fund three critical areas of support for North Texas childhood cancer families:

Your Gift The Impact

$50 Stocks a family's pantry for one week during an intense treatment cycle

$100 Covers one week of utility assistance to keep the lights and heat on

$250 Provides one mental health counseling session for a parent or sibling

$500 Delivers a full month of wraparound support — groceries, utilities & mental health

$2,500 Supports an entire family through a critical treatment milestone

Every dollar raised stays in North Texas, serving North Texas families.

OUR CAMPAIGN GOAL: $20,000

This Giving Day, we are raising $20,000 to fund:

Grocery & Nutritional Assistance — Ensuring families have access to healthy food during extended treatment periods when cooking and grocery shopping become nearly impossible

Mental Health Support — Connecting parents, patients, and siblings with licensed counselors who understand the unique trauma of pediatric cancer

Utility Assistance — Preventing shutoffs and keeping homes safe, warm, and functional while medical bills pile up
