We know the wide range of emotions and challenges that child loss brings into a mother’s life. There is comfort to be found in walking alongside others who have suffered deeply, yet continue moving forward through similar grief journeys. Hope Dawning comes alongside mothers who understand, who “get it,” and who care deeply about the healing and hope of those navigating life after such sorrow.
Hope Dawning is a local 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to connect bereaved mothers in our community with compassionate, faith-based healing resources. Through outreach, support, and community-building events, mothers are reminded they are not alone in what can feel like an isolating journey. Many attendees express an instant bond with one another because of their shared experience.
Hope Dawning’s recurring events include casual dinners, classroom-style series, and one-day local retreats. Our largest outreach gathering is our annual Mothers’ Event, held each Mother’s Day season. This special time honors bereaved mothers while also remembering and celebrating their children.
We also provide carefully curated grief resource materials for mothers seeking comfort, encouragement, and support in their healing journey.
Hope — the confidence and assurance of what we do not yet see.
Dawning — the first glimmer of light after a long period of darkness.
Hope Dawning stands ready to walk alongside grieving mothers on their path toward healing after loss.
Hope Dawning exists to connect bereaved mothers in our local community with compassionate, faith-based grief support, healing resources, and meaningful opportunities for connection through outreach and community-building events.
Our annual Mothers’ Event, held during the Mother’s Day season, creates a sacred space for bereaved mothers to be honored, remembered, and surrounded by others who understand the deep sorrow of child loss.
Funds raised will help cover event expenses such as venue rental, food, floral arrangements, décor, speaker fees, printed materials, and equipment rentals, including tables, chairs, and linens.
Throughout the year, donations also help us provide grief resources, printed materials, books, postage, and support for additional gatherings that allow moms to continue finding connection, comfort, and hope.
Hope Dawning welcomes and serves bereaved mothers from all backgrounds, cultures, races, ages, and life experiences. Child loss is a grief no mother should have to carry alone, and we are committed to creating spaces where every grieving mother feels seen, honored, and supported.
We recognize that healing resources are not always equally accessible. Our goal is to reduce barriers by offering gatherings, grief materials, and faith-based support at minimal or no cost whenever possible. Through compassionate outreach and community connection, we seek to ensure that every mother who has experienced the loss of a child has a safe place to find comfort, hope, and belonging.
