Garage Arts Project (GAP) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit arts organization based in Plano, Texas, creating intimate, experimental spaces where artists and audiences connect.
We bring together musicians, dancers, and creators from North Texas and around the world to share bold new work. From chamber concerts with international artists to experimental dance productions, from community showcases to multidisciplinary festivals, GAP provides a platform where risk-taking and creativity thrive.
At the heart of our work is connection — between artist and audience, between cultures, and between generations. We believe art is not just performance, but an exchange that sparks dialogue, empathy, and discovery.
Since our founding, GAP has:
Presented cross-genre music concerts in local venues.
Hosted the Bridges Festival, uniting artists across cultures and disciplines.
Created space for student volunteers to learn, serve, and engage in the arts.
Showcased both emerging local talent and celebrated international performers through artist showcases.
Whether in a concert hall, a community center, or a small experimental stage, GAP is dedicated to making art accessible, inclusive, and transformative for the North Texas community.

On North Texas Giving Day, your gift keeps art alive, intimate, and inclusive. Join us in building a creative home for all.
