Transforming Lives through Extraordinary Educational Experiences!

Because of community support, the Museum is able to ensure our facility and educational programming is available to all children, families, and adults regardless of socioeconomic status through discounted admission, field trips, and numerous outreach activities. There is no other museum in Tarrant County that provides hands-on science and history experiences for so many children.

The Museum serves a singular purpose: to transform lives through extraordinary learning environments. The organization addresses the issue of limited access to hands-on inquiry-based learning opportunities, especially those related to science, history, technology, engineering, and math concepts, by providing educational activities that support and enhance formal K-12 curriculum offered in schools. The Museum is the largest provider of hands-on inquiry STEM and history education in Tarrant County.

Equity Statement

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History respects, values, and celebrates all people. We are committed to building and sustaining a diverse and inclusive community, including addressing barriers to the full participation of historically underrepresented groups. Recognizing that multiple voices and perspectives enrich our work, we embrace a broad definition of diversity. Diversity to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History means the intersections of identities and experiences, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, economic status, country of origin, ability, spoken languages, and more. Each individual has a unique story to tell, and we appreciate that these stories are diverse and perhaps unfamiliar to us. Through highlighting and sharing these stories, we can learn to appreciate that which is different and that which connects us. Curiosity is key to learning, and we embrace this as a core value.
