Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Dallas is a small Baptist church located in a low socio-economic neighborhood in the Fruitdale area of Dallas, Texas. Our church is located near several large apartment complexes, stand-alone family homes, a halfway house, and several homeless camps. Through evangelism, youth mentoring/activities, pastoral counseling, and assistance with food, clothing, and school supplies, we aim to have a positive impact on the neighborhood. One of our primary goals is to reduce the gap in food availability in the area caused by the absence of fully stocked supermarkets. Our partnership with a local food bank which began in March 2022 has allowed us to provide 200,000 pounds of non-perishable food items to 500 families. Additional funds will enable us to buy more of the food products such as meat, eggs, fruit, and dairy needed for daily sustenance.

Our church's mission is to build a strong spirit filled body of believers who will remember the journey of those before them, to remain faithful to the harvest in front of them, to reach generations by spreading the Gospel, and to demonstrate the all encompassing love of God.
There is a need for additional financial support for our food outreach ministry. We currently partner with a local food bank but still need to purchase other nutritional foods such as meat, fruit, vegetables, and dairy products. Funds are also needed to purchase boxes, bags, shipping tape, dollies, and cargo truck rental to pick up donated food.
