About
History
OUR CURRENT NEED: In August 2024, the Benbrook Library was proudly recognized as a Family Place Library, joining libraries across the country in creating welcoming spaces where young children and their caregivers can learn, play, connect, and grow together. As a Family Place Library, Benbrook Library aims to support parents, caretakers, and their young children with the resources to create healthy and happy homes! The program features a bi-annual workshop, "Talk 'n' Toddle", which focuses on early childhood development.
Unfortunately, well-loved toys get worn out and supplies get used up. Maintaining the library's Family Place values means keeping these resources safe, engaging, and ready for the families who use them.
That's where the Friends of the Benbrook Library (and you!) come in!
This North Texas Giving Day, we are raising $4,000 to help Benbrook Library replace, refresh, and upgrade its Family Place toys and materials - helping to ensure that local families can continue to enjoy this valuable resource for more years to come.
And Family Place is just one of the many ways the Friends support Benbrook Library! From funding summer reading programs and library programs to organizing book sales and supporting new opportunities for our community, your donations help us make great things happen at our library!

Mission
The Friends of the Benbrook Library is a 501(c)(3) volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Benbrook Public Library District. Through memorial gifts, book sales, and additional fundraising, the Friends promote literacy and enrichment for the Benbrook community.
Needs
Donations to the Friends of Benbrook Library help to fund programming for the community and enhance the resources that our library is able to offer.
Currently we are fundraising for $4,000 in order to replace and refresh the Family Place materials at Benbrook Library.
Equity Statement
Since 1986 the Friends of the Benbrook Library has held the belief that programs and services provided by the Benbrook Library District are for all people. This attitude is reflected in our all inclusive membership. The Friends organization has always maintained an attitude of openness and acceptance to any person desiring to volunteer regardless of circumstance .
