The Fort Worth Opera, a charity that has not only stood the test of time but has also pioneered a legacy of artistic excellence, social engagement, and cultural significance.

Founded by three daring women, the Fort Worth Opera has been a beacon of creativity and progress since its inception in 1946, showcasing performances that resonate with social issues, diverse cultures, and timeless classics. It is with great excitement that we announce our upcoming performances, which promise to captivate hearts, challenge minds, and celebrate the very essence of opera.

This season, we are proud to present a selection of five performances that not only pay homage to some of the most well-known operas of all time but also highlight the evolving narratives of our world.  Kicking of the 2024-2025 season will be ¡Bienvenidos! at the Rose Marine Theatre in October.   Mark Adamo’s Little Women will grace the Scott Theatre Stage in November.  December will see holiday favorites return and free community events for all ages.  Our Resident Artists will kick off 2025 with Elixir of Love at IM Terrell in March.  The Biannual McCammon Competition finishes out the month.  Fort Worth Opera returns to Bass Performance Hall in April with the Rossini classic La Cenerentola “Cinderlla.”

The Fort Worth Opera extends far beyond the footlights. We recognize the crucial role we play in our community and city, serving as a platform for nurturing budding talent and fostering a deep appreciation for the arts. Our outreach to schools not only introduces young minds to the enchanting world of opera but also encourages creativity, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding. Furthermore, we take immense pride in being a nurturing ground for aspiring singers, providing them with a space to hone their craft and blossom into true artists.

As we continue to build upon this legacy, I invite each of you to join us in our mission. Your steadfast support has been instrumental in our journey, and you donation would mean the world to us as we strive to reach new heights of artistic expression and culture.

Together, we will continue to shape the cultural landscape of our amazing city.
