With your assistance we inspire and engage local volunteers to help the poorest of the poor. We organize service events where our volunteers feed the homeless, give supplies to the low income families, and visit the sick and the suffering. But that is only a start. We get to their hearts by meeting their day to day needs first. Our goal is to get to know them, love them, and walk with them.
We quench their thirst for love and authentic relationships as we visit them every week on the streets, at nursing homes, and in poor neighborhoods. Like Mother Teresa said, "the greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for".
Testimonials
"Project Finding Calcutta helped me to have an “easy” opportunity to visit the poor. All the “complications” of such questions as “where do I begin” or “where do I go” or “how do I do this” were provided for me. That’s EXACTLY what I needed the most to get started. Especially in the light of the “numbness” that I was experiencing from the enormity of my recent loss." - John
"Felt wonderful to connect with “strangers,” and be reminded that we are all connected and crave connection." - Tim
"Our family had a wonderful time! And everyone was so gracious in helping our little ones feel apart of everything and serve in their capacity. It was a blessed day!" - Anonymous
"Definitely helped me see those who I help in a new light. To love them and to show them they’re loved." - Jake
