Our Needs

Funding to help maintain, preserve, and operate the historic Aldredge House Museum and provide unique, engaging, and inspiring educational  programs and events for North Texas residents and visitors, celebrating early Dallas and Texas history!

Mission

The Friends of Aldredge House has been established to help provide financial security and ongoing operational support for one of Dallas' most historic and architecturally significant houses. We are dedicated to the long-term sustainability, preservation, and unique community experience of the historic Aldredge House Museum. It is our goal to preserve the Aldredge House as a historic house museum and public meeting space for educational outreach to the community on the benefits of historic preservation and cultural and social history.

Needs

Donations will help us support preservation efforts at the historic Aldredge House Museum, expand upon our fascinating and often untold stories presented by our award-winning Living History performances, develop exhibits and increase tours at the historic Aldredge House Museum, broaden our community outreach, help continue our popular programs like Afternoon Tea at Aldredge House and Speakers Forums, and expand our Arts and Music Series for the North Texas communities and visitors to Dallas!

Equity Statement

The Friends of Aldredge House are committed to celebrating and bringing all communities together to help tell their stories in the history of North Texas. Aldredge House Museum is a unique space where all of our histories can be told in respectful, honest, and celebratory ways as no other place can. Its own history represents the intersection of cultures, challenges and struggles, individual and community accomplishments, emergence of women's and minorities' rights and ambitions , rise of local industries and technology, and the celebration of art and architectural excellence - all enveloped in place and time, past and future.

History belongs to everyone, and we want people to see themselves in the stories we tell.

Our goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome, well-represented, able to enjoy our museum and programs, and aspire to being a part of our story-telling and expanding and reaching for their own.
