Faith Family Empowerment Center

Faith Family Empowerment Center focuses on the results of transforming lives and providing the necessary tools to overcome barriers and build communities that foster growth, merit, and unity. Faith Family Empowerment Center will serve the needs of the disenfranchised and under privileged population and communities located in the Dallas Fort Worth area. The organization will provide employment preparation, parent literacy and education, family support and advocacy; early childhood education and school aged academic services. The services that Faith Family Empowerment Center provides, directly addresses the issues of poverty, family violence, literacy, accessing and obtaining resources, and the ability for families to become self-sufficient.

Our Needs

Faith Family Empowerment Center is in need of appropriate space to service the children and families in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. Faith Family Empowerment Center is currently providing supervised visitation services to families within the Child Protective Services demographics, who at this time require all visitation to be monitored. Faith Family Empowerment has a desire to give families the opportunity to continue the family bond by allowing them to engage in physical, mental, emotional activities including, but not limited to, playground space, basketball courts, tennis courts and even animal therapy. This is a different approach from many other facilities which currently provide supervised visitation services. Faith Family Empowerment also desires to provide year round nutritional services and provisions to the under served communities. Our agency also provides hospital sitting services for children who are in DFPS custody and are in the hospital, and Faith Family Empowerment Center would like to be able to provide these children with books, games, and comfortable bed clothing while in the hospital. As a community/social service agency Faith Family Empowerment Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of children, families, and communities and one of the fundamental ways to enrich and empower the lives of others is through education. Faith Family Empowerment would be able to sufficiently provide quality education services by the use of technology, such as; computers, iPads, and tablets.
During the month of June 2020, Faith Family Empowerment Center successfully provided diapers, wipes, non-perishable food items, milk, dairy, and fresh produce to over 1,000 people. Faith Family Empowerment Center has a desire to provide these services on a weekly basis and is in need of space to provide these items. Faith Family Empowerment Center desires to provide transitional living services and housing to families in need and is in need of the start up funding to open this operation.
