Engage Dallas, formerly Mayor's Star Council is the leadership program exclusively delivering training focused on developing leaders informed of the history of Dallas and critical opportunities for making an impact. These leaders are committed to acting on the knowledge through civic engagement, all through a racial equity lens. Engage Dallas is a long-term strategic partnership with The Dallas Foundation to build the next generation of leaders of Dallas. Since 2012, over 300 alumni have been through the leadership program. Alumni from the program have served on city and county boards and commissions, Dallas Independent School District school board trustees, Justice of the Peace, Constable, and leading nonprofit organizations and businesses.

Engage Dallas comprises a group of diverse leaders aged 25-40 from eight different areas of cultural and professional influence: Arts & Entertainment, Business, Education, Government, Hospitality & Tourism, Media, Religion, and the Social Sector.
