Early Matters Dallas

Mission

Early Matters Dallas is a broad-based coalition of business, civic, education, philanthropic and nonprofit organizations and volunteers, working together to raise awareness about, and advocate for, the importance of high quality early education for a strong economy tomorrow. The coalition was launched in 2016 in response to a strong community desire to increase the county's 3rd grade literacy proficiency-a critical transition point for children in which they move from learning to read and begin reading to learn. By addressing access to and the quality of the early learning experiences, we aim to provide all children across Dallas-Fort Worth with a high-quality learning environment.
