Giving Activity

Mission

Our organization is dedicated to advancing the careers of black accountants and professionals through education, support, and networking opportunities. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community where our members can learn, grow, and succeed in their chosen fields.

Through our programming and partnerships, we aim to increase the representation and visibility of black accountants and professionals within the wider business world. By fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment, we hope to inspire and support the next generation of leaders in accounting and business.

Needs

The Dallas/Fort Worth Alliance of Black Accountants is seeking generous donations to support our mission of providing educational opportunities and empowering aspiring black business professionals in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. One of our primary objectives is to offer scholarships to students who face financial barriers to pursuing a career in business, accounting and finance.

The need for financial assistance among minority students in our community is significant. Many talented and motivated individuals from underprivileged backgrounds aspire to become accountants and business professionals, but they often lack the necessary resources to pursue higher education. These aspiring professsionals possess the potential to contribute to the growth and diversity of the accounting profession, yet without financial support, their dreams remain unfulfilled.

By donating to DFW-ABA, you will directly contribute to breaking down these financial barriers and making a meaningful impact in the lives of deserving students. Your support will enable us to award scholarships that cover tuition fees, textbooks, professional certification expenses, and other educational necessities. These scholarships not only alleviate the financial burden but also serve as a catalyst for success, opening doors of opportunity that would otherwise remain closed.

Equity Statement

At the Dallas/Fort Worth Alliance of Black Accountants (DFW-ABA), we firmly believe in and actively promote equity in all aspects of our work. We recognize that historical and systemic inequities have disproportionately impacted black individuals, particularly in the field of accounting. Therefore, we are committed to fostering an environment that ensures equal access, opportunity, and representation for all, irrespective of their race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic background, or any other characteristic.

We strive to promote equity through the following principles: Inclusion | Educational Equity | Professional Development | Advocacy | Accountability
