Coombs Creek Conservancy is a nonprofit organization located in Oak Cliff, Texas that views Coombs Creek as a neighborhood treasure that should be preserved and protected. We believe the creek should be safe, accessible, and that the unique plants and wildlife of this local watershed should be preserved and protected for the enjoyment and education of not only our generation, but hopefully for many generations to come.

Giving Activity


To engage residents in the stewardship of Coombs Creek and raise ecological awareness through education, outreach, training and various service projects. Some of our activities include periodic clean-up efforts, ongoing water quality monitoring, conducting biological and environmental surveys, and to identify areas that will provide safe public access to natural green space along Coombs Creek.


-Water Quality Testing Supplies: standard kit and chemical reagents

-Creek Clean Up Supplies: safety vests, sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kits, trash grabber, trash bags (33 gal), gloves, back packs, wide brimmed hats, weight scale, dumpster rental/haul-off, styrofoam coolers, drinking water (2.5 gal containers), "weed wrench" plant extraction tool.

-Administrative: all weather field notebook, clipboards, pop-up canopy tents, folding tables,
