$1,500 Goal

Our farm is dedicated to providing fresh, organic vegetables to food pantries and kitchens serving the food insecure.

It’s just crazy to us that people in this country have to make a choice between essential drugs like insulin or a meal. We are driven to change what’s offered to folks struggling with food insecurity. We believe locally grown, organic vegetables are the best sources of nutrition, especially for growing children. We strive to foster public health and believe that everyone has a right to healthy food that will allow them to F.L.O.U.R.I.S.H., following our core values of:  Faith, Leadership, Optimism, Understanding, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship and Health.

Our small farm off Flora's Road in Aledo, Texas, is growing this year thanks to the generous support of our donors. We started our 501(c)3 non-profit organization in January 2021. In our first year, we grew a wide variety of vegetables and a few herbs. We learned a lot. Cursed a lot. Had a freeze. Had a flood. Fought grasshoppers and army worms daily. Drilled a solar-powered water well. But, through it all, we never lost hope in what we could do to make a difference.

In 2022, we managed to grow and donate over 800 pounds of food. Since then, we have added two additional garden areas and have harvested and donated over 4000 pounds YTD. We are driven by learning and improving, and grateful for what we have been able to achieve.

Here at Clearfork Creek Farm, our slogan is "Growing to Give." Together we can do so much, and we hope you consider joining our mission. For those of you wishing to help us make an impact: Consider making a donation TODAY! Our current fundraising goal is to raise funds to purchase a new hoop house/plant nursery: to shelter seedlings during the cooler months and extend our growing season. Funding our mission secures food for residents of Parker County and ensures that our neighbors have fresh food on the table.

Giving Activity

Mission

We are growing to give. Our mission is to grow fresh, organically-grown produce to donate to our food pantry partners, who serve the food insecure.

Needs

Our organization is seeking help from the community to be self-sustaining. We are looking for donations and volunteers to grow our community garden. We are also seeking financial assistance for:

. Hoop House to extend our growing season

. Compost for garden, orchard, melon patch, and new garden plot

. Rainwater harvesting materials

. Perennial fruiting plants including blackberries, dwarf fruit trees, and figs

. Perennial flowering plants to attract pollinators

. Accommodations for volunteers including seating, equipment, and walkways.

Our ultimate goal and vision is to replicate this garden in other areas so that we can create more food security for other communities. This is the first garden of many that we dream to create. With your help, we can continue to feed the community, grow in outreach, and have a bigger impact.

Equity Statement

At Clearfork Creek Farm, we are dedicated to equity and inclusion. We strive to provide equal access to fresh food, education, and opportunities within our communities. We value diversity and empower individuals through sustainable agriculture. Together, we can build a resilient and thriving community for all.
