$1,500 Goal

Our farm is dedicated to providing fresh, organic vegetables to food pantries and kitchens serving the food insecure.

It’s just crazy to us that people in this country have to make a choice between essential drugs like insulin or a meal. We are driven to change what’s offered to folks struggling with food insecurity. We believe locally grown, organic vegetables are the best sources of nutrition, especially for growing children. Access to nutritious food is a right not a privilege.

Our small farm off Floras Road in Aledo, Texas, is growing this year thanks to the generous support of our donors. We started our 501(c)3 non-profit organization in January 2021. In our first year, we grew a wide variety of vegetables and a few herbs. We learned a lot. Cursed a lot. Had a freeze. Had a flood. Fought grasshoppers and army worms daily. Drilled a solar-powered water well. But, through it all, we never lost hope in what we could do to make a difference.

Our Farm Operations Manager, Alexis, managed to grow and donate over 800 pounds of food in 2022. Since then, we have expanded our growing space and added an irreplaceable member to our team: Hannah. She is a dedicated horticulture major from Texas A&M and has assisted Alexis in growing 1400 pounds YTD. We make an amazing team and are driven to learning and improving.

Here at Clearfork Creek Farm, our slogan is Growing to Give. Together we can do so much, and we hope you consider joining our mission. For those of you wishing to help us make an impact: Consider making a donation TODAY! Funding our mission secures food for residents of Parker County and ensures that our neighbors have fresh food on the table.

Mission

We are growing to give. Our mission is to grow fresh produce for our food pantry partners, who serve the food insecure.

Needs

Our organization is seeking help from the community to be self sustaining. We are looking for donations and volunteers to grow our community garden. We are also seeking financial assistance for-

. Irrigation for an orchard plot and additional 40’ x 280’ garden plot

. Compost for garden, orchard, melon patch, and new garden plot

. Rainwater harvesting materials

. Perennial fruiting plants including blackberries, dwarf fruit trees, and figs

. Perennial flowering plants to attract pollinators

. Accommodations for volunteers including seating, equipment, and walkways.

Our ultimate goal and vision is to replicate this garden in other areas so that we can create more food security for other communities. This is the first garden of many that we dream to create. With your help, we can continue to feed the community, grow in outreach, and have a bigger impact.

Equity Statement

At Clearfork Creek Farm, we are dedicated to equity and inclusion. We strive to provide equal access to fresh food, education, and opportunities within our communities. We value diversity and empower individuals through sustainable agriculture. Together, we can build a resilient and thriving community for all.
