The hardest year of a child's life rarely announces itself. A parent dies. A marriage ends. A family is formed in a courtroom instead of a hospital room. And a child who has no words for any of it still has to get up and go to school the next morning.

Since 1967, ChristianWorks has been the place North Texas families come when the ground gives way.

We are a faith-guided counseling and family-support ministry serving Dallas, Fort Worth, and Burleson, and we have never made a family's ability to pay the price of admission a requirement to serve them. Our licensed counseling is offered on a sliding-fee scale for children, adults, couples, and families. Our support groups, including post-adoption groups, support for birth mothers, grieving children, and children of divorced parents, are all free. Always. Every summer, CampSunrise gives grieving children three days to be children again, surrounded by others who understand without being told.

CounselingWorks. GriefWorks. KIDWorks. FamilyWorks. AdoptionWorks. CampSunrise. Different doors into the same promise: no family walks through the hardest season of their life alone.

Building healthy homes and families in North Texas since 1967. Guided by faith. Open to all.

Mission

The mission of ChristianWorks is to represent the goodness of God to children and their families by continuing Jesus Christ's example of service.

We exist to equip families with what they need to navigate life's hardest seasons; grief, divorce, adoption, and the everyday work of raising children well. We do that through licensed counseling, free children's support groups, adoption services, and a summer camp for grieving children, across Dallas, Fort Worth, and Burleson.

Guided by faith. Open to all. Building healthy homes and families since 1967.

Needs

Our support groups for grieving children, post-adopt groups, birth mom support, and for children living through their parents' divorce are free to every family. They will remain free.

Counseling is available on a sliding-fee scale, meaning families pay what they can afford. That is the promise. However, the gap between what families can pay and the actual cost of care must be covered from other sources. On North Texas Giving Day, your support helps bridge this gap. Your gift on September 17 keeps three things true:

1. Free grief and divorce support groups for North Texas children

2. Sliding-fee counseling for families who could not otherwise afford a licensed counselor

3. Camp Sunrise, our three-day summer bereavement camp for grieving children

We are walking children through the hardest years of their lives. Walk with us.

Early giving opens August 27. Giving Day is September 17.

Equity Statement

At ChristianWorks, we are committed to fostering an environment that reflects the love and teachings of Christ. We believe every person is created in the image of God and deserves dignity, value, and respect.

That belief shows up in the ordinary work of a Tuesday afternoon. It is why our grief and divorce support groups for children are free, and why our counseling is offered on a sliding-fee scale rather than at a fixed rate. It is why a family does not have to share our faith to be welcomed by it. We are a Christian ministry, and we serve our neighbors in North Texas as they come to us.
