Brighter Magazine exists to serve each woman affected by cancer in every aspect of her life. We accomplish our mission through our quarterly publication, full of resources provided by experts in oncology, nutrition, exercise, skin and haircare, fashion, psychology, and more. The informative and inspirational contents of our publication serve to bolster the mental health, health literacy, and overall wellbeing of the women that we serve. We know that when mental health is prioritized and health concerns are addressed, women feel more confident and capable during and after treatment.
We also believe that connection with other survivors is vital in strengthening mental health. These life-giving bonds that survivors create at our monthly Social Survivors events result in a woman feeling seen, heard, and understood, all while providing her with invaluable information from an expert in an oncology-related field outside of a medical setting.
Brighter seeks to make holistic cancer care the norm, not the exception. We strive to serve each woman as a whole person, beyond the medical aspects of her life that have changed, by providing resources and practical advice in the areas that are all too often overlooked.
The impact that Brighter makes in a woman’s life extends beyond her, it informs friends, loved ones, family members, and more as she walks through a new stage of her life. We seek to provide content that can show caregivers and loved ones how a woman affected by cancer may be feeling and changing. As our magazines pass from survivor to survivor or from a survivor to a loved one, the impact our community makes only grows, changing the cancer landscape for good.
