Bold Believers United Ministries is a movement to AWAKEN, EQUIP & ACTIVATE Believers to boldly impact the world through uncompromised truth, love, power and unity. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2016 in Dallas TX, by Minister April Bowman, M.S.
Bold Believers United (BBU) provides leadership development programs, events, mentorship, spiritual formation, and holistic care for youth, young adults, women and families. Supporting BBU allows the ministry to provide programs and services at minimal to no cost for our participants in which 98% come from low-income households.
For 10 years, Bold Believers United has helped youth, young adults, women and families grow in faith, purpose and leadership while putting that faith into action through service.
As we enter our next decade, your support will help us deepen our impact in three key areas.
1. DEVELOP BOLD PEOPLE
Helping people become rooted in faith, secure in who they are and equipped for where they are going.
We invest in the whole person through discipleship, mentorship, leadership development and practical preparation for life.
Our work includes:
COMPASS
A leadership and development experience for young adults navigating college, career, calling and adulthood. Fellows receive mentorship, leadership development, spiritual formation, college and career exposure, one-on-one support and meaningful community.
BOLD Girls
Experiences that help girls build confidence, character, healthy relationships, leadership skills and a strong foundation of identity and purpose.
Discipleship & Spiritual Formation
Intentional opportunities for youth, young adults, women and families to grow in their relationship with Christ through biblical teaching, prayer, one-on-one discipleship, mentoring, community and transformational experiences.

2. EXPAND BOLD MISSIONS
Taking the love of Jesus into communities near and far.
We believe faith should move us toward people.
BOLD Missions allows us to build relationships, meet practical needs, share hope and partner with others to serve communities locally, on college campuses and around the world.
Our growing mission work includes:
Providing back-to-school resources, haircuts, Christmas support and year-round care for families, with a particular heart for grandmothers raising grandchildren
Developing partnerships that support children and young adults impacted by foster care
Partnering with colleges, churches and campus ministries for outreach, gatherings and opportunities that equip believers to be a light on their campuses
Expanding BBU's global reach in 2027 through partnerships in Africa, including leadership development, spiritual formation and workforce development for girls and young women

3. BUILD BOLD CAPACITY
Building the team and infrastructure needed to carry the mission forward.
After 10 years of impact, our vision is growing. Our capacity must grow with it.
We are investing in the people, systems, technology, training and operational support needed to strengthen our programs, develop partnerships, serve more people and build a sustainable organization for the future.
Building capacity means BBU can move from doing meaningful work when resources allow to building consistent, high-quality programs and relationships that can grow year after year.
