Move for Miles Childhood Cancer Foundation

A nonprofit organization

Since inception in late 2017, our organization has donated over $50,000 to UT Southwestern Medical Center and to Children's Health for childhood cancer research. Very little federal funding supports childhood cancer, making it a reality for patient families to fundraise to support research their children need. We continue to strive toward more effective treatments, and eventually cures, with less side effects for children like Miles.

We also know what it's like to spend a lot of time at the hospital. Our sMiles programs have resulted in $10,000 of in kind donations for families and children affected by cancer. From food, to activity bags, we have worked to bring sMiles to these families.

Our Needs

Childhood cancer research is severely underfunded, receiving less than 4% of national funding each year. Children need more effective, less toxic treatments that are made for them. Our priority is to fundraise for life-saving childhood cancer research.

We have secured $10,000 in matching funds for North Texas Giving Day! Make your dollars really count by supporting our cause!

Mission

We are a group of people who know the challenges a childhood cancer diagnosis can bring. Research is how we drive change and improvements for the future. We must always be 'moving forward' for better treatments, cures and long term quality of life for survivors. We will achieve our goals by harnessing the power of the most natural childhood pastime: Play. We Believe:

We can harness the Power of Play to raise funds and awareness for childhood cancer research.

We can create sMiles for families in treatment for childhood cancer.

We can support the long term treatment of childhood cancer survivors.
