Grayson County Health Clinic

A nonprofit organization

The Grayson County Health Clinic opened in 2013 to provide medical and preventative care to the underserved in our Grayson County Community. Since inception, we have served over 12,400 individuals.

GCHC provides multiple free services to patients thanks to federal, and state funding, as well as local support. Our services have improved the quality of life for those in need and saved millions of dollars in just the past five years.

GCHC has procured over $10,000,000 in free medications for patients that would have likely gone without medicine, through our efforts in navigating medication assistance programs and grant opportunities and has saved over $48,000 in the past two years in free lab work for 5,400 patients.

We strongly believe in serving our patients mental health, just as well as their physical health. Therefore, we have partnered with the Child and Family Guidance Center to provide our patients counseling services from a Licensed Professional Counselor intern at no cost. Our collaboration has provided over 440 sessions of counseling since 2015.

In addition to improving health outcomes, we have invested in our patients' holistic care by developing partnerships with local soup kitchens, crisis centers, clothing banks, youth services, churches, and many others to help improve our patient's lives along with their health.

To provide these essential services, GCHC is staffed with an incredible team including 1 executive director,1 office manager, 6 medical assistants, 4 front office staff, 4 nurse practitioners, and is currently supported by 21 Family Medicine Resident Physicians.

GRAYSON COUNTY HEALTH CLINIC-PROVIDING HEALTHCARE WHERE YOU NEED, WHEN YOU NEED IT

Our Needs

GCHC is in need of funds to purchase:

1. Power exam tables: $3,500 each plus tax/shipping and handling. These tables will enhance staff safety and safe patient handling while preserving dignity and comfort. Given all of its functionality, the exam table can be considered one of the most important items in any exam room.

2. Colposcope equipment: $5,900 plus tax/shipping and handling. This equipment will give our doctors the tool necessary to screen for cervical cancer in our female patients.

3. Nebulizers: $1,000. They can be purchased for $25 each if purchased locally. These turn liquid medicine into a mist that is inhaled from 5-15 minutes until the medication is gone to help treat Asthma and COPD in patients. These will be provided for patients who are unable to purchase one themselves.

4. CPAP and BiPAP machines and supplies: $6,000 for 5 units. These devices will be available for patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are unable to purchase them.

5. Waiting room chairs: $2,000 for 20-25 chairs. Additional chairs are needed so our patients and their families can be made comfortable while waiting.
